ABCDE

As promised here is the beginning of the letter series!

Today I have included letters ABCD and E! Come back next week for more great Alphabet printables to share with your little ones!

When It was my turn to teach our preschool group we focused on the Letter D. The kids had a blast, One of the games I love playing with kids this age is "Magic Letter Bag"

I take a large gift bag, slap the Letter on the front, and then we take turns taking an item out of the bag while saying "da da da da da!" (for D) then we describe the item and write the word on our board.

The boys had a lot of fun with this activity.

To kick start this series I included an 8 x 10 print. It would be fun to print and place in your home or school somewhere, so the kids see it often and remember what they learned. I think I am going to make two copies, adhere to fun scrapbook paper and make a memory game for review and keep it in my busy bag!

If you do something with it, I would love to see what you came up with!

And here is a multi-page document of A-E Flashcards and Signs

Hope you will get as much use out of these as we have been!

Come back soon!

Learning Preschool Placemats

We are a part of a Co-op preschool group, and we LOVE it. I was REALLY hesitant about it at first, but it has been SO fun!

When it was my turn I wanted the boys to have a spot that was all theirs each time they came . So I came up with these Learning Preschool Placemats that go along with our circle time.

I printed them off, laminated them, and they can use a dry erase markers to write on them.

We use these to...
Practice writing our names
Circle the weather for the day
Write the letter of the week
Find the word that starts with that letter
Trace the shape of the week
Circle the color of the week
Counting up to the number of the week

We can also flip them over and do more coloring and practice writing on the back!

Come back Each friday, for what I am going to call "Flashcard Friday" where I will post the Letter of the WEEK Packet for the upcoming week! (I will post A,B,C,D, E and F) this week so that they correlate with our Co-op schedule)

 Enjoy! Thanks for stopping in!

Editable Halloween Advent Calendar or Tags

What better way to kick off this blog than a COUNTDOWN to Halloween!

I decided to make them because after I put up our Halloween decorations, my three year old has everyday since said "Today is Trick or Treating!!"

We were already a few days into the month, before I got mine put together, but we still did an activity for each day, we made "Giant Spiders", "Cottonball Ghosts", and painted "Gobblin Rocks"and he and I both are having a spectacularly spooky time!

Now I know there are MANY Halloween Advent countdowns out there, so this may not be what you are looking for, but hey it's free and pretty simple to fill in, print off, cut out, glue, staple, pin or whatever your heart desires.

You could toss them in envelopes as seen here...
Or use them to make tags on neighbor treats or teacher gifts!
Or a spooky memory game with letters or numbers!

Directions:

1.Download the file below

2. Download Appropriate Fonts

After you have Downloaded the file to your computer, you will want to make sure you have the following fonts in order for the document to look the way I intended, otherwise it will just use a default font. ( I apologize I don't have links to them all, I assume these came stock in my mac, or they are from a LONG time ago and I have no idea where I got them from)
